My happiness exists in the power I have over what I accept and what I release. I don’t let people take my happiness away from me in the long term.

The ability to be able to laugh at yourself and to laugh alongside others, not at others, is a skill that we do not focus on enough.

My roots give me stability, security and safety.  

I am strong-willed. I am fiercely independent. I can be stubborn at times. I stand my ground. I have a fire in my belly when I am determined to do or achieve something. Nothing can stand in my way, as I will find a way around, over  or under any obstacles that stand in my way.

Rebels need hope. Rebels need a cause. Rebels need agency. 

Compassionate leadership is the most potent way people can deal with what feels frightening and overwhelming and leaders need to focus compassion on all those who are key workers.

I had a beautiful weekend. It was simple, but it made me smile, laugh, cry and embrace the joy in my life.  I saw the beauty in each moment and it filled me with optimism for the future. 

We are expectant. We have been waiting. Those 9 weeks have felt like 9 months at times. Time has moved slowly. Change has happened rapidly.

I didn’t want to have a rare incurable disease but in accepting that I do, it has brought me a great deal of peace.

For me, a rainbow is a symbol of harmony. Each colour has its own worth, but together each colour compliments one another to create a whole. Nothing jars. Rainbows bring joy, hope and optimism as they make you stop in your tracks and take in their beauty.
